Out & About

Gain leash-walking skills and confidence in outdoor locations (in and around Rockville, MD)

With the right preparation and practice, walking your dog in the community can be pleasant and worry-free. Our outdoor, community-based class meets in a new location each week around Rockville, MD. Each new environment provides opportunities to fine-tune leash walking, focus, and composure around dogs and people. The instructor feedback you get as you work through each week’s challenges will give you and your dog the confidence and skills you need to navigate “the real world”.

Note: This class is not appropriate for dogs who display reactive behaviors (barking, lunging) toward people or other dogs. Please see our Reactive Dog Classes if your dog displays reactivity toward other dogs.
