About this Class:
Using a video, lecture, discussion, and practice, the course covers such topics as:
- Normal breathing, pulse rates, and temperatures
- CPR
- Rescue breathing
- Choking
- Controlled bleeding
- Capturing and restraining a sick or injured pet
- A variety of illnesses and injuries
The course will be given by a certified Red Cross instructor, Lynne Bettinger, through her company, Sundown Ridge, Ltd, an authorized provider of American Red Cross Pet First Aid classes. No pets are allowed at the class. Mannequins and stuffed animals are used for practice. Each student receives a pet first aid manual, DVD, and a Red Cross card showing that they have attended the class.
Fee: $70 for a 4-hour course
