Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep
Prepare for the CGC test
The AKC Canine Good Citizen is a certification program that evaluates dogs in 10 skills in a noncompetitive manner. Preparing for the CGC is valuable for many reasons – training helps deepen the bond between pups and their people, passing the test is a prerequisite for many therapy dog certifications, and the behaviors mastered in class are helpful for dogs getting ready to participate in various dog sports. Have fun working with your dog, whether you plan to take the CGC test, or just want to hone your dog’s skills.
CGC Prep will be followed by a CGC test, scheduled shortly after the class ends. To learn more about the Canine Good Citizen Certificate, visit the AKC website.
