Tricks Class

“I became a puppy owner for the first time in my adult life about 2 months ago, and I was completely clueless about how to train her and communicate with her. I am literally amazed at how much she and I have learned over the last 6 weeks.”

Currently enrolling for ONLINE classes!

About this Class:

Teaching tricks is a great way to have fun with your dog, exercise their brain and body, build your bond, and practice the training skills you already have while learning new ones too. With an emphasis on fun for both you and your dog, you’ll learn and apply various techniques that positive dog trainers use.

From classic favorites like rolling over or giving a high-five, to crawl or sit pretty, together you’ll learn tricks you and your dog will enjoy. You can also earn your way up the different levels of the AKC’s Trick Dog Titles.

We will be using Zoom for our online Tricks classes.

Prerequisite: None, but it will be helpful if your dog knows sit and down, so we’ll send you information on teaching these prior to class.  This online class is appropriate for reactive dogs, puppies and adolescents, and adult dogs of all ages!

Instructors:
Lisa Arant and Melissa Dilla

Fee:

$165 (six-week class)
$130 (four-week class)

.
Veterinary Behaviorist Dr. Amy Pike will explain how to handle your dog for everyday maintenance – like grooming, brushing teeth, giving pills, etc -in a way that will reduce your dog’s anxiety. High anxiety in these and other situations could potentially cause both immediate and longer-term behavior problems. If that surprises you, come hear why.
